Contouring done right

What’s new and trending for 2015…. contouring and shading the face!

Contouring can enhance or reduce any feature on your face. Done correctly, contouring can bring out your eyes and cheekbone area as well as elongate or shrink the size of your nose. It can also take the edge off a thick chin.

Check out those ultra skinny, probably totally anorexic, models today. They would be jobless without concealer, shading powder and foundation three inches thick on their faces. Of course, we are not advocating you apply quite that much of the above.

CVDerm Tip - Using concealer to contourHere are a couple of tips, though, that will help you when applying a cream concealer.

  • First of all, get a good shading brush to apply the concealer.
  • Secondly, after making sure your hand is free of perfume and lotions or potions, apply a small amount of concealer to the back of your hand. From there, apply it to your face.
  • To avoid the cakey look on your face, use a rolling motion to apply the concealer.

Always remember we want make-up (including contouring) to enhance our assets and let our natural beauty shine though.

Again, as we say here at CVD… beauties are made not necessarily born.
